The global plastic pollution crisis and energy transition are current hot topics in the international environmental protection field. Niutech, based in China, has focused on pyrolysis technology for over 30 years. It has independently developed a large-scale industrial continuous intelligent waste plastic pyrolysis production line, providing effective and sustainable solutions to plastic waste issues for global customers. Niutech's pyrolysis equipment can convert low-value waste into high-value fuels and chemical raw materials, helping enterprises achieve circular economy goals and promoting the industrialization of the vision of "plastic to fuel".
Currently, the world generates more than 390 million tons of plastic waste each year, of which about 46% consists of low-value plastics like soft packaging and film bags. Traditional landfill and incineration methods not only occupy land resources but also release harmful gases and microplastics, threatening ecosystems and human health. Niutech's chemical recycling technology uses advanced pyrolysis processes to break down waste plastics into pyrolysis oil and non-condensable combustible gases. According to estimates, if 50% of global plastic waste were processed through chemical recycling, it would be equivalent to developing a "large oil field" with a capacity of over 60 million tons.
Niutech's pyrolysis technology has won China's highest award for environmental science and technology—the National Scientific and Technological Progress Award—becoming an important technological pathway to solve the plastic pollution problem. This pyrolysis technology can process mixed and contaminated waste plastics with a conversion efficiency of over 90%, offering an efficient, low-carbon, and intelligent solution for plastic waste pyrolysis.
Niutech's "large-scale industrial continuous intelligent waste plastic pyrolysis production line" features an automated feeding, pyrolysis, and discharging system, with a single unit capable of processing tens of thousands of tons annually. Its modular design allows customers to increase flexibility according to actual needs, with the maximum processing capacity exceeding one million tons. The equipment incorporates advanced temperature control technology, allowing waste plastics to decompose in an anaerobic environment into pyrolysis oil, combustible gas, and solid fuel. The refined pyrolysis oil can replace crude oil for producing new plastics or clean fuels, significantly reducing reliance on fossil resources. Compared to traditional incineration technology, the pyrolysis process does not release dioxins, lowers carbon emissions by more than 50%, and fully complies with the EU's plastic recycling targets in the European Plastic Strategy, meeting the advanced technology requirements for plastic carbon footprint tracking systems. The equipment also integrates an advanced PLC intelligent control system, enabling remote monitoring and fault warning, with operator requirements only at 1/4 of traditional levels. Niutech's plastic chemical recycling technology and complete sets of equipment have already been successfully applied in Denmark, Thailand, and South Korea.
Against the backdrop of future circular economy and carbon neutrality goals, along with increasing environmental protection policies and trends in resource recycling, the development prospects and market potential of plastic pyrolysis technology are growing more substantial. We look forward to sharing our successful cases and experiences in the waste plastic pyrolysis field with more stakeholders, working together to advance the development and application of plastic waste pyrolysis technology.
